Cromarty Rose

This page is devoted to postcards and photographs of the ferry Cromarty Rose, which operates across the mouth of Cromarty Firth between Cromarty and Nigg. Cromarty Rose was built in 1987 in Ardrossan for Seaboard Marine (Nigg) Ltd who operated the Cromarty-Nigg service until 2001. After a tendering process, the cotract passed to the Cromarty Ferry Company, who purchased the Cromarty Rose from her previous owners. The ferry runs every half hour between the end of May to the end of October, and carries 50 passengers and 2 cars. Evening cruises are run on Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August.
