Fairmile B - ML357
Jamaican Moon
This page is under construction!
This page is devoted to photographs of one of the last four surviving wartime Fairmile B launches in the UK. This page shows former ML357, now in use as a houseboat at St Osyth in Essex. ML357 was later named
Jamaican Moon
, although no name is carried in September 2007. As far as I am aware, ML357 was never used in passenger service.
By 2007 there were only four surviving Fairmile 'B' launches in the UK:-
Western Lady I (RML535)
- Private ownership (ex-Torbay)
Western Lady III (RML497)
- Swanage excursions (ex-Torbay)
Western Lady IV (RML526)
- Private ownership (ex-Torbay)
Jamaican Moon (ML357)
- House boat in St Osyth
- This page!
A fifth Fairmile 'B', the
Golden Galleon
, was broken up in 2006. She had run excursions on the Norfolk Broads.
See
www.fairmileclassiccruises.co.uk
for details of sailings on
Western Lady III
- in 2007 the only Fairmile still in public service. The
Fairmile 'B' Header Page
lists other Fairmiles illustrated on this website.
