Series under construction - more pages to be added

This the header of a series of pages devoted to postcards of Caledonian-MacBrayne (Calmac), who run a network of services throughout the Western Highlands and Islands of Scotland. Caledonian-MacBrayne was formed from the amalgamation of the Caledonian Steam Packet Co (the Clyde area operators of British Railways) and David MacBrayne (1928) Ltd. David MacBrayne had been rescued in 1928, jointly by the London Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) (passing to the British Transport Commission (BTC) in 1948) and Coast Lines. Various other railway company and private fleets all became amalgamated into the Caledonian Steam Packet Co, and all will eventually be linked from this page, giving a comprehensive photo history of Western Highlands steamer services.
