Ørnen was built in 1962 by Ålborgs Vaerft A/S, Ålborg, Denmark, for A/S Dampskibsselskabet Øresund. She served on the route Malmö-Copenhagen until 1980, when she was sold to Blue Aegean Sea Lines SA, Piraeus, Greece and renamed Saronic Sun. She was marketed by Saronic Cruises, Piraeus. In 1982, Saronic Sun was sold to Aetolian Line Shipping Co and renamed Mistral for a service between Heraklion-Thirai. Mistral was sold to George Alevizos, Piraeus, in 1986, but remained on the same service with the same name. In 1988 she moved to Puerto Rico and took the name Mistral II for owners Burton Securities SA, Panama. The following year, the name was changed to Le Mistral. In 1995, she passed to Rendezvous Holdings Inc, Panama, being renamed Rendezvous , but was broken up in Brownsville, Texas in 1998.

Ørnen Postcards (A/S Dampskibsselskabet Øresund:1962-1980)
Ørnen was built in 1962 by Ålborgs Vaerft A/S, Ålborg, Denmark, for A/S Dampskibsselskabet Øresund. She served on the route Malmö-Copenhagen until 1980, when she was sold to Greek owners and renamed Saronic Sun. She subsequently served for various owners as Mistral, Mistral II, Le Mistral and Rendezvous, until broken up in Texas in 1998.
