Strintzis Lines - Page 3

Blue Star Ferries

This is the third page devoted to postcards of the ferries of Strintzis Lines, covering the new ferries delivered since 2000. The earlier history up to 2000 is shown on Strintzis Lines - Page 1, whilst ships transferred into Blue Ferries are shown on Strintzis Lines - Page 2. In 2003, a member of the Strintzis family set up a new company Strintzis Ferries with a single ship, Eptanisos (2).

The Table below gives links to complete postcard history pages of selected individual ships. Below the table are official postcards of the fleets in alphabetical order.

In 2000, Strintzis Lines relaunched itself under three different names. The existing fleet of secondhand ferries became Blue Ferries. The impressive fast new ferries delivered from 2000 form the Blue Star Ferries fleet, and the new fast catamarans are known as Blue Star Jets. This page shows postcards and photographs of the new ferries delivered since 2000. Strintzis Lines - Page One shows the ships in the previous Strintzis Lines colours. Strintzis Lines - Page 2 shows the ships transferred to Blue Ferries in 2000. On 31st August 2000, Attica Enterprises (ie: the owners of Superfast Ferries) acquired a controlling 38% interest in Strintzis Lines.
