This page is one of a series devoted to postcards and photographs of the Compagnie Générale de Navigation sur le lac Léman (CGN) motor vessel Lausanne (2). This page shows photographs of the Lausanne (2) . Other Lausanne (2) pages are listed below. There is a table of all CGN individual ship histories on the CGN Header Page.

Lausanne (2) was built in 1991. She is propelled by triple screws. She is an impressively large ship with three full decks. In the peak summer of 2004 she ran three cruises out of Geneva each day, those at lunchtime and the evening being marketed as gastronomic cruises with excellent food served on the top deck. When first built, she was tried on the Geneva-St Gingolph-Geneva "Rhone Express", but in 2004 seemed to see little scheduled use outside of the extreme peak season - her three daily cruises being taken by the Vevey during the early and late summer. In the 2005 peak season, Vevey has been replaced by Simplon on the two-day roster, so Lausanne (2) would seem to get even less use.
