Queen Elizabeth 2

Page 2: Interior Postcards

This page is one of a series devoted to postcards and photographs of the Cunard Liner Queen Elizabeth 2. This page shows an official set of interior postcards of the QE2 as originally built, published by J.Arthur Dixon. I think that all these rooms look far more stylish (and modern) than the current versions as shown on QE2 - Page 6.

The Queen Elizabeth 2 was launched on 20th September 1967. Following early problems and extended trials, she did not enter service until May 1969. The cards below were issued by J.Arthur Dixon as a tear-off set. The set is still intact, and is shown as such below.

The cards show (top-to-bottom): External view of QE2, The Queens Room, Theatre Bar, Midships Bar,
Double Room, Britannia Restaurant, Columbia Restaurant, Bathing Pool, Main Control Room and the Bridge.
