Kronprinsessan Ingrid (1936-55)
 
Kronprinsessan Ingrid was built by Frederikshavn Værft & Flydedok in 1936 for Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavns Linjen (Sessan Linjen), for service between Göteborg-Frederikshavn. She was sold in 1955 to Ångfartygs Ab Gotland, and renamed Christofer Polhem. She was sold in 1963 to Expresslinjen Ab, Stockholm (Stockholm Rederi Ab Svea) and renamed Marina. She was sold to Yugoslavian owners in 1969.

Prinsessan Margaretha (1) (1955-62)
 
Prinsessan Margaretha was built in 1955 by Helsingör Skips & Maskinbyggeri A/S, Helsingör, Denmark, for Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen. Prinsessan Margaretha was sold in 1961 to Rederi Ab Gotland for use as the Thjelvar, for services between Nynäshamn-Visby, and sometimes to Västervik/Oskarshamn. In 1964 she was sold again to Oy Vaasa-Umeå, for use on services from Vasa to Umeå, Sundsvall or Örnsköldsvik as the Wasa Express (I). In 1974 she was chartered for a few months to Jakob Lines for their service between Jakobstad and Skellefteå. She received the marketing name Nord Express. In 1975 Wasa Express (I) was sold to Egyptian owners as Al Arnoud, and was broken up in 1995.

Prinsessan Regina (1960-67)
 
1373/1431 grt - 71.46/73.0m long - 465 passengers/64 berths - 14 knots
 
Prinsessan Regina was built as the Regin by Oskarshamns Varv, Oskarshamn for Stockholms Rederi Ab Svea. She entered service in 1921 between Copenhagen-Malmö-Stockholm-Sundsvall-Luleå, moving to Stockholm-Sundsvall-Malmö the following year. Regin operated on various Rederi Ab Svea services until she was rebuilt in 1952, returning with a more modern appearance. In 1960 she entered service on the Silja Line route between Norrtälje and Åbo. In 1962, Regin was sold to Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn (Sessan Line) and renamed Princessan Regina, used on their Göteborg-Frederikshavn route. She was laid up the following year and broken up in 1967.

Prinsessan Christina (1) (1960-66)
 
Prinsessan Christina 91) was built in 1960 by Ålborg Skipsværft A/S, Denmark, for the Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen). In 1965 Prinsessan Christina was chartered to Skandinavisk Linietrafik A/S (Scandinavian Ferry Lines) for service between Kiel-Korsør. In 1966 she was chartered to Stena Line for use as "The Londoner" between Tilbury and Calais. In 1966 Prinsessan Christina was sold to Oy Vaasa-Umeå Ab and was renamed Botnia Express (I), serving on the route Vasa-Sundsvall. In 1975 she was sold for further service in Uruguay.

Prinsessan Margaretha (2) (1963-68)
 
Prinsessan Margaretha was built in 1963 by Aalborg Skipsvaerft A/S, Ålborg, Denmark, for the Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen). In 1968, Prinsessan Margaretha was sold to Oy Vasa-Umeå Ab as the Polar Express. In 1982 Polar Express was sold to Oy Jakob Lines Ab, but was sold again in 1984 for service in the Middle East.

Varberg - Sessan (Chartered: 1965)
 
Between 1964-68 Marsk Stig served as the Varberg for Europafärgens (Grenå). She was sub-chartered to other users, including Sessan Line for a few months in 1965. From 1968-78 she was the Viking 2 of AB Sally, part of the Viking Line consortium.

Prinsessan Desirée (1) (1965-71)
 
Prinsessan Desirée (1) was built in 1965 by Aalborg Skipsvaerft A/S, Ålborg, for the Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen). In 1970, Prinsessan Desirée was sold to Oy Vasa-Umeå Ab as the Fenno Express. In 1985 Fenno Express was sold to Oy Jakob Lines Ab, but was sold again in 1989 for service in the Far East. In 1996 she returned to the Mediterranean for further service.

Prinsessan Christina (2) (1969-81)
 
Prinsessan Christina (2) was built in 1969 by Aalborg Værft, A/S, Ålborg, Denmark, for Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen). Prinsessan Christina entered service between Göteborg-Frederikshavn. In 1977 she was sold to Safe Ship Rederi Ab, Göteborg for delivery in 1981. She was renamed Safe Christina and chartered to Sally Line UK for Ramsgate-Dunkerque service during summer 1981. In 1982, Safe Christina was sold to Stena Line, and renamed back to Prinsessan Christina, returning to service on the Göteborg-Frederikshavn route. In 1983 she moved to a Moss-Frederikshavn-Göteborg circuit, and was renamed Stena Nordica. In 1985, Stena Nordica was transferred to the Lion Ferry (Stena Line) Helsingborg-Grenå route, and renamed Europafärjan I. She was renamed again in 1987, as Lion Prince, and she also operated Halmstad-Grenå and Varberg-Grenå until 1998, when the Lion Ferry routes were incorporated into parent company Stena Line, and she was renamed Stena Prince. Stena Prince was laid up for sale in 1999, passing to Freedom Ferries of Naples. She was renamed Commodore and operated on routes from Genoa to Sardinia and Corsica. Other routes were tried, including Portoferraio (Elba)-Piombino, until she was laid up in 2002.

Prinsessan Desirée (2) (1971-81)
 
Prinsessan Desirée was built in 1971 by Aalborg Værft, A/S, Ålborg, Denmark, for Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen). Prinsessan Desirée entered service between Göteborg-Frederikshavn. In 1980 the Sessan Tor Line partnership started. In 1981, Sessan Linjen was acquired by Stena Line, but Prinsessan Desirée initially continued on the same route. Later in 1981, Prinsessan Desirée operated charters with B&I Line and Sealink. In 1982 she operated with Sally Line UK between Ramsgate-Dunkerque under the marketing name Viking 2. In 1983, Prinsessan Desirée operated on the old Lion Ferry route of Varberg-Grenå Linjen (now part of Stena Line) as the Europafärjan. In 1985 she was registered under the ownership of Lion Ferry Ab (Stena Line) and renamed Europafärjan II. In 1987, she was renamed Lion Princess, and continued on service between Varberg-Grenå (plus Halmstad-Grenå from 1990) until sold in 1993 to Scandi Lines A/S, Sandefjord, Norway. She entered service with Scandi Lines in 1994 as the Bohus between Strömstad-Sandefjord. Ownership was transferred to Color Line in 1999.

Prinsessan Birgitta (1) (1974-81)
 
Prinsessan Birgitta (1) was built by Oy Wärtsilä Ab, Åbo, Finland, for a consortium of owners including Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen) who owned 43.5%. Prinsessan Birgitta entered service between Göteborg-Frederikshavn in 1974. In 1977, Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen took full ownership. In 1980 the Sessan Tor Line partnership started. In 1981, Sessan Linjen was acquired by Stena Line. Prinsessan Birgitta was also used on routes Göteborg-Travemünde and Göteborg-Kiel. In 1982 Prinsessan Birgitta was renamed Stena Scandinavica. In 1987 Stena Scandinavica was chartered to Compagnie Tunisienne de Navigation S.A. (Cotunav) service between Tunis-Genoa, for which she was renamed Scandinavica. In 1988, Scandinavica was chartered to Sealink British Ferries for service between Dover-Calais and Dover-Zeebrugge. In 1989, the Cotunav charter was repeated as the Tarik L. In 1990, Scandinavica was sold to Norway Line and given the name Venus for their Bergen-Stavanger-Newcastle route. Ownership later passed to Color Line. In 1994 she was sold to DFDS as part of an exchange deal with the King of Scandinavia (ex-Dana Gloria). Scandinavica was renamed King of Scandinavia and introduced on service from Newcastle to Hamburg or Esbjerg in 1995. In 1996, Ijmuiden replaced Esbjerg. Charters to Cotunav continued in the summers of 1997, 1998 and 2001. She was chartered to Bornholmstrafikken later in 2001. In 2002, King of Scandinavia was sold to Reca Marmara Lines, Istanbul, for a service Cesme-Brindisi-Ancona.

Kronprinsessan Victoria (1981-82)
 
Kronprinsessan Victoria was built in for Rederi Ab Göteborg-Frederikshavn Linjen (Sessan Linjen) by Götaverken Arendal Ab, Göteborg. She entered service between Göteborg-Frederikshavn in April 1981. Her sistership was Prinsessan Birgitta. Soon afterwards, Stena Line AB acquired a majority share ownership in Sessan Linjen. Kronprinsessan Victoria was rebuilt as a day/night ferry and transferred to the Göteborg-Kiel route. Additional Göteborg-Frederikshavn sailings were still made in summer.
 
In 1988, Kronprinsessan Victoria was renamed Stena Saga, and received a block of new cabins on the upper deck. She transferred to routes connecting Oslo-Frederikshavn-Göteborg. The block of additional cabines was removed in 1994 when Stena Saga transferred to the more exposed Harwich-Hook of Holland route as the Stena Europe, swapping routes and her name with the larger Stena Britannica (3) which had been uneconomic at Harwich. In 1997 Stena Europe transferred to the Karlskrona-Gdynia route as Lion Europe, when replaced by HSS Stena Discovery. She reverted back to the name Stena Europe the following year, when Stena dropped the Lion Ferry marketing name. In 2002 Stena Europe replaced the Koningin Beatrix on Fishguard-Rosslare services.

Prinsessan Birgitta (2) (1982)
 
Prinsessan Birgitta was originally ordered by Sessan Line for their Gothenburg-Frederikshavn service. Her sistership was Kronprinsessan Victoria. Sessan Line was taken over by Stena Line, and the ship was chartered to Sealink for use on Harwich-Hook of Holland service as the St Nicholas. In 1989 she was sold to Rederi AB Gotland, but remained in Sealink service. In 1990, Sealink was taken over by Stena Line AB. St Nicholas was transferred to a new Southampton-Cherbourg service as the Stena Normandy in 1991. This route closed in 1996, and Tallink took her on charter in 1997 as the Normandy. Irish Ferries took Normandy on charter for their Ireland-France services in 1998, retaining the (appropriate) name. Normandy was purchased by Irish Ferries in 1999, and continues to operate on this service.
