Hobbs & Sons

This page is devoted to postcards and photographs of the River Thames excursion fleet of Hobbs & Sons Ltd, based at Henley-on-Thames.

Hobbs & Sons have been involved with boating services on the Thames at Henley for over 135 years. In 1980 they had the Maratana (46 passengers) built, followed by the Consuta II (50 passengers) in 1984, both used for local trips and charters. In 1991, the Mississippi-styled The New Orleans joined the fleet as a charter boat. The stylish Hibernia arrived in 2001, followed by the acquisition of the The Waterman in 2003. Maratana passed to Salter Brothers around the same time. Lily-Anna is a small launch.
