Blue Line Cruises was formed by Kevin Walters in May 1998 when he acquired the
Solent Scene
from Blue Funnel Cruises, along with their Poole operations.
Solent Scene
is a beautifully maintained traditional excursion vessel, with good open decks but plenty of comfortable saloons with good visibility for when the weather is poor. Her passenger facilities and safety features have been continuously upgraded, and the crew are extremely friendly and helpful.
Solent Scene
is the largest of the Poole-based excursion vessels, and is an excellent sea boat. She operates regular short cruises out to sea to view the spectacular Old Harry rock, passing Brownsea Island and Sandbanks on the way. Longer scheduled trips are run to Swanage, with time ashore. A cruise on her is strongly recommended if you visit the Poole/Bournemouth areas. There is a complete history of
